One of my greatest musical inspirations is John Frusciante, and I’m excited for his upcoming album release entitled “The Empyrean” in January 2009. It was John Frusciante’s solo album “To Record Only Water for 10 Days” that inspired me to want to create an album of my own, which I completed earlier this year.

John Frusciante is now keeping a wordpress blog, his first entry details a musical exercise that weaves in the always humanitarian message of John Frusciante, of peaceful co-existence and mutual respect and understanding. It has honestly been years since I have been this excited for an album, January can’t come soon enough!
Before I fell in love with playing guitar and writing songs, my favorite thing to do was draw. I came across an old drawing I had done years ago while cleaning my studio room….this is a drawing from 1991. I did another of Micheal Jordan that I traded for basketball cards…I wish I still had it, as it was better than this one. I used to draw cartoons, many in the Mad Magazine “Don Martin” style. I actually had drawn cartoons all over my walls when I was in my teens, my parents were great and didn’t seem to mind too much.
I will post random drawings from time to time, it makes me want to try digging up my pencils and drawing again.
