Longue Pointe, Eeyou Istchee

I am an Assistant Professor in the Language Sciences program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

My research centers on the vitality of the Indigenous languages of North America, where I primarily work at the intersection of first language acquisition, language documentation and description, and language revitalization.

My dissertation, The first language acquisition of nominal inflection in Northern East Cree: Possessives and nouns, won the Mary R. Haas Book Award in 2022.
